Solstice Affirmations

Made an affirmation composition last week for the solstice week. Added glitter star, heart, and crown to a messy watercolor gouache and glitter background. This paper doll (pencil and pastels) is. SO BEAUTIFUL. She just stepped onto it.

 

 

 I like the crowded lettering miscalculation.

A few weeks ago, I started making these pretties and leaving them on the counter for us during the week. A few more to come.

Art Journal Pages: Crayoning It

In May, I started out on a crayon trip in my journal pages, and it worked much better for me than paints/watercolors/no colors. Much more of a meditation this way, going over something with a nice, simple medium.

Practiced inking on the Cintiq. It's slowly starting to get faster and more comfortable.

I plan to print these out, cut them out, paste them into an art journal page, and paint them. I hope it's a mess.

Practiced more inking on my phone, and discovered that the latest Sketchbook Pro for iPhone update added a whole awesome set of brushes. So happy. Let's grunge these up.
