Art Journal Pages: Crayoning It

In May, I started out on a crayon trip in my journal pages, and it worked much better for me than paints/watercolors/no colors. Much more of a meditation this way, going over something with a nice, simple medium.

More Inking Practice

Practiced inking on the Cintiq. It's slowly starting to get faster and more comfortable.

I plan to print these out, cut them out, paste them into an art journal page, and paint them. I hope it's a mess.

Fan Art - New Sketchbook Pro brushes

Practiced more inking on my phone, and discovered that the latest Sketchbook Pro for iPhone update added a whole awesome set of brushes. So happy. Let's grunge these up.

Beauty and Magic.

We both had terrible colds on Halloween and stayed in bed, so I drew this pic of my girlfriend so she could still wear a gorgeous costume for the evening.

Here are more pictures of her (she is also the Fayre Damosel featured in previous art journal posts). This is why I like to draw. Not because I’ll ever get especially good but because when you are drawing someone who has worlds inside of them, all of that can’t help but come out on the paper. It's magic.

This is why I love to draw her. Because she is so beautiful. Because she is so magic. I will love her until the day I die and beyond.

Fairytale Cartoon Caricatures in Charcoal

This was huge! Did a caricature art booth at the company fundraiser trunk sale thing, and they turned out great. Here are a few samples.
